Nie zgadzam się - to tylko jedna z teorii. Ja z kolei wierzę, że często warto oprócz znaczenia po angielsku zapamiętywać właśnie polski odpowiednik. Przyczyna prosta - opisowa definicja jest długa, nauka więc oczywiście także. Weźmy pikantne słowo ' voluptuous' - zapamiętanie definicji "full of delight or pleasure to the senses : conducive to or arising from sensuous or sensual gratification" jest długie, a ponadto nie rozwija aktywnej znajomości języka (szukając słowa rzadko kiedy przyjdzie nam do głowy długa definicja). Natomiast zapamiętanie voluptous=sexually sensual, / ponętny, zmysłowy jest prostsze, no i od razu jeśli uczymy się w dwie strony rozwija nam...
