Domyslny kodek ustawiony do polaczen VoIP to G711 A, i taki kodek uzywany jest do wszystkich polaczen wychodzacych ( z wyjatkiem polaczen do innych bramek VoiP - wtedy zestawia sie kodek domyslny obslugiwany przez bramke do ktorej jest inicjowane polaczenie ). Natomiast dla polaczen przychodzacych z PSTN w VoIP Call Status zawsze pokazuje kodek G723 i jakosc polaczen jest gorsza ( dla polaczen przychodzacych z VoIP ustawiany jest kodek domyslny z bramki inicjujacej polaczenie).
